Faculty position at Chanakya University
Profile
The School of Biosciences at Chanakya University invites applications for Assistant and Associate Professor positions in Computational Biology (AI/ML), Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering, Neurobiology, Immunology (Inflammation/Autoimmune diseases), and Cell and Cancer Biology. Candidates with a strong research background and substantial postdoctoral or industry experience are preferred. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to developing robust research programs and possess a passion for teaching in the University’s academic programs.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include
- Design and teach courses offered by the School of Biosciences.
- Develop robust, externally funded, and collaborative research programs in the relevant areas.
- Build and lead strong research groups, including PhD scholars.
- Contribute to research and academic initiatives and actively participate in the academic and administrative activities.
Money
Remuneration will be commensurate with expertise and experience. Selected candidates will receive seed funding (based on their research proposal) for starting their research work. Selected candidates are also eligible for other benefits such as PF, Gratuity and Insurance (Health and Life) as per the existing University policy.
Qualification
Ph.D. in relevant areas
Experience
- Strong publication track-record
- Minimum of two years of post-doctoral/ industrial experience
- Ability to write research proposals and attract extramural funding
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences
- Evidence of commitment to teaching and training
