Adichunchanagiri University is seeking a motivated and dedicated candidate who wishes to pursue a PhD in Microbiology with a focus on integrating nanotechnology and molecular biology for advanced drug delivery applications. The research will involve microbial synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, molecular-level functionalization, and evaluation of their therapeutic potential. Master’s degree (M.Sc. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.V.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline. Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA (50% for reserved categories as per institutional norms). Candidates with NET (CSIR-UGC/ICMR/DBT/BET/GATE) qualification or any other national-level fellowship (INSPIRE, DST, etc.) are highly preferred.

Experience in microbial culture, nanoparticle biosynthesis, or drug delivery formulation. Familiarity with analytical techniques such as UV – Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, TEM/SEM, and zeta potential analysis. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET (JRF)/DBT/ICMR/ICAR/GATE or any equivalent national-level fellowship will be preferred. Prior research experience demonstrated through project work, internships, or publications will be an added advantage.
