NCBS invites applications from suitable individuals for the position of Project Associate — I on contract basis.

Area of specialization required for the post: Cell and molecular biology or Developmental biology, or a branch of Life Sciences.

Candidate should have good communication skills, thinking abilities and expertise in in vitro techniques, including mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques. Candidates with prior exposure to the field of mechanobiology, vascular biology or organ-on-a-chip techniques would be preferred. The candidate should be open to working in animal models. Additionally, we seek a team worker with high standard of work ethics.

Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (with NET / GATE qualified) Or Rs. 30,000/- + HRA (without NET / GATE qualified)

A minimum of master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech. /BS-MS dual degree or equivalent) in relevant field of Biology (Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or other), with prior research experience. Qualification in any of the national level examinations (GATE/CSIR or UGC-NET JRF/ DBT JRF/ICMR JRF or DST-Inspire) is preferred.
