The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.

Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on temporary and contractual basis under funded project

Incumbent is expected to handle mass spectrometry-based proteomics experiments, setting up cell models and biochemical assays for validating findings from human clinical samples, analysis of large proteomic datasets.

Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Rs. 56,000/- + 30% House Rent Allowance.

• Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences with minimum 60% marks / first class or equivalent grade.
• Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biological Sciences or related field

• Experience with molecular biology and biochemical assays, or mass spectrometry-based proteomics, or writing codes (in MATLAB or R) to analyze large omics-datasets.
• Having publications (peer-reviewed papers or preprints) showing the experience mentioned above
