Profile
Applications are invited for the post of Project Staff-Spinal Muscular Atrophy at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Generate a zebrafish genetic model for spinal muscular atrophy by CRISPR gene editing, perform genetic, molecular and behavioural characterization of the mutants.
Key Responsibilities
- Breeding and maintaining zebrafish mutant lines, microinjections.
- Cloning genes of interest from zebrafish, RNA in situ hybridizations, immunofluorescence.
- Data analysis, image analysis.
Qualification
MSc degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Zoology is required.
Experience
Candidates should have prior research experience of at least 6 months and should be competent in basic Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in theory and practice.
