Prof. Edwin Cheung’s lab is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support the development of AI-driven programs for interrogating complex biological datasets and accelerating drug discovery. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of genomics, computational biology, and artificial intelligence, contributing to translational cancer research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing AI models to analyze biological and pharmacological data.
• Contribute to ongoing projects investigating transcriptional regulation and therapy resistance in breast and prostate cancers.
• Perform data analysis, visualization, and integration using computational and experimental data.
• Collaborate with team members across computational and wet-lab disciplines.

Postdoc Requirements

1. PhD graduated from a domestically or internationally renowned university.
2. Holder of a PhD degree for less than 2 years, or expected to obtain a PhD within 6 months.
3. Strong background in one of the following areas:
   · Computational Biology
   · Biological Sciences
   · Machine Learning & Programming (R/​Python)

RA Requirements.

1. BSc or MSc graduate from a domestically or internationally renowned university.
2. Some research experience is preferred

Our Research Focus: The Cheung lab investigates the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of hormone receptors and therapy resistance in breast and prostate cancers. By combining genomics, bioinformatics, and experimental models, we aim to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

• RA: Approx. 200,000−240,000 Macau Pataca per Year
• Postdoctoral Fellow: Approx. 300,000 Macau Pataca per Year
