Siuli transitioned from a career in research to science communication eight years ago. As a communications specialist, she has experience crafting impactful narratives for science organisations in government and academia. Her work has ranged from content development across diverse media to formulating external and internal communication strategies and advising senior management on public communication of science and technology.

In the past, Siuli worked with BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute, Faridabad; the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India; the Archives at Christian Medical College, Vellore; and DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance. She has a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Delhi and was a postdoctoral fellow at CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology.
